I thought this was pretty cool, so I decided to share it. Over at MTGCast, they have a contest going to design lost "Morphlings" that Wizards of the Cost might make in the future. So I used the open source Magic Set Editor to create these, as a little break from studying. For the first one, Omniling, I basically just thought about what a cool 5-color "Morphling" style card would be, and for the second one, Arcling, I had the Darksteel "Arcbound" set of creatures in mind when I created it. It's kind of an Arcbound Ravager on steroids. The picture for the first one is a supernova, and the second is a proposed forest fire-fighting robot. Sweet.
